ACTIVE FAST BUY

Once you have entered your choice in the location box, clicking Active Fast Buy takes you directly to the level grid where you can buy units.

BLUEBANK

Geosfair is a social business, 40% of the revenue go directly into the depositary (the Bluebank) every time a purchase is made. This money sponsors humanitarian projects. The BlueBank counter is reset at the beginning of each month.

BOOKMARK

This marks a unit until you decide to buy it (reminder). Meanwhile, other CareTraders are still able to buy this unit. Note that Bookmarking is different than Reservation: Geosfair cannot reserve units on your behalf.

CARETRADER

Any user who buys a unit is a CareTrader. „Care“ stands for supported humanitarian projects (each time a CareTrader purchases a unit, 40% goes to the BlueBank). „Trader“ stands for the exchanges made between community members such as the ones taking place in the property or stock markets.

CERTIFICATE

For each unit purchased, a Certificate is issued. It mentions the unit’s exact geographical location, the CareTrader’s name and its permalink (see the General Terms and Conditions).

COMMISSION FEES

Geos are used for all transactions. Whenever you buy an unit from another CareTrader, the transaction is subject to a 10% commission fee (in Geos; see Terms of service).

COORDINATES

The coordinates define the exact geographical location of an unit, using its longitude and latitude.

You can also submit your own humanitarian project by filling in the form.

DIRECT BUY

This feature allows you to purchase a unit.

END OF THE MONTH

The end of the month is defined as midnight on the last day of the current month (Central European Time – CET).

FIELDS

Geosfair covers four action fields: health, water, food and education. Their geographical implementation is mainly located in the southern hemisphere, i.e. in South America, Africa, Southeast Asia.

GEO CURRENCY

The Geo is an internal currency used for transactions (i.e. buying or selling) on Geosfair.com. 1 Geo = 1 Euro. You can convert your Geos back into Euros at any time. Simply fill in the order form and the money will be transferred to your bank account.

GEOSFAIR

Geosfair is a social business. Its main goal is to make a positive social change (see fields of action). Geosfair gives importance to its running operations in order to expand and meet its social goal in the middle and long run (see Publisher’s Details General Terms and Conditions).

GRID LEVEL

The grid appears only at a given zoom level. It divides the geographical area into units of 1 square metre each. You can buy, bookmark and see units only at this zoom level.

LOCATION BOX

Enter the place, address or postcode of your choice and the country in the location box and click “Go”. Note: the “Active Fast Buy” button leads you directly to the grid level where you can buy units.

MESSAGES

You can send messages to your friends and other CareTraders and also contact them in order to buy or sell units.

NOTIFICATIONS

You can choose to receive notifications about your friends’activities (e.g. their latest transactions). If not, simply deactivate the option in your Account (Settings).

OFFERS

If you wish to buy units that already belong to another CareTrader, you can submit an offer. You can either visit the CareTrader’s portfolio and click on the unit you are interested in. Or go to the grid level and click on the unit of your choice. The CareTrader’s certificate will appear, then select “Make a bid”.

ORGANISATION

Geosfair supports humanitarian projects from NGOs and NPOs. Selection is made according to geographical location and fields of action (health, water, food, education). Geosfair cannot garantee that the amount transfered to the organisation will be spent exclusively on the project. Members of the Community are welcome to contribute by reporting any unconventional behaviour.

PAYMENT

A CareTrader has two ways to buy Geos (Settings > Payment). Using Paypal takes only a few seconds (see the transaction fees table); buying on the Geosfair UG bank account (without transaction fees) may take a little longer. During the processing time, the unit remains reserved. Geosfair will issue the Certificate directly after receiving the payment.

PERMALINK

The permalink states the exact location of a unit and is part of the certificate. Using this link allows you to retrieve and locate the unit (e.g. in posts on other websites and blogs).

RECENT TRANSACTIONS

This feature shows your latest transactions, e.g. the units you bought, when you bought them, and how much you paid for.

REQUIRED FUNDS

Every project requires a certain amount of money for its implementation. This amount is displayed on the voting board. Please do understand that transferring money entails costs, and that Geosfair is also required to pay transaction fees. Part of the Bluebank’s money is also used to cover these costs (see the transaction fees table).

SELECTED PROJECTS

Projects submitted to GEOSFAIR are evaluated on 3 criteria: 1-The form must be filled in correctly. 2-There must be a legal proof of the organisation. 3-The organisation must have a record of humanitarian activities. The number of projects selected monthly depends on the amount of money available in the BlueBank.

SOCIAL BUSINESS

A social business is a business whose main objective is to make a positive social change, such as reducing poverty, improving health or providing education (see also Geosfair.Ug).

UNITS

The definition of a unit can be found in the General Terms and Conditions of Geosfair UG. One unit equals one square metre. Its coordinates are defined by longitude and latitude.

USER ACCOUNT

Allows you to interact as a CareTrader on the platform. First name, last name and email address are required.

VOTE

Every month Geosfair UG presents a number of humanitarian projects based on the following criteria. 1-Geographical location: South America, Africa or South East Asia. 2-Field of action: the projects must be related to: Health, Water, Food or Education.
Several projects are in competition every month. The CareTrader can vote for his favourite project in each geographical area within each field of action.

At the beginning of the month, Geosfair displays the winning projects (news section) and transfer the funds.
The organisations have agreed to provide weekly reports on their activities, so that the Community can keep track of the project\’s progress.
